Aragon Hotel, Leeds

Most bedrooms now have private facilities and extra building works have enabled us to open a new dining room, a cocktail bar and to cater for small conferences and parties. Apart from the excellent facilities the Aragon provides, we feel the main attraction is the solitude of our surroundings. Only two miles from the City Centre, yet the hotel is surrounded by an acre of garden set well back from the road. Surrounding the garden are trees, fields and open spaces, giving a superb tranquil setting. No rushing traffic, no city noise, no stress, just relax in the garden or stroll through the woods at the back and wind down after a hard day. Perhaps have a game of croquet on the lawn or mini snooker before dinner. All bedrooms are furnished to a comfortable, high standard. They all include colour television, quality fittings, shaver points, hot and cold water, are heated and tea and coffee making facilities are avail- able on request as an optional extra. Most rooms now have private bath- rooms and toilet en-suite and most afford panoramic views of the dis- tant city and surrounding area. The hotel has a comfortable residents’ lounge, with a large feature marble fireplace, an intimate cocktail bar and both overlook the garden. The dining room will seat twenty-two in comfort and can be booked for outside functions. There is a small conference room that can seat twenty in a boardroom format, with back up catering service for delegates. Having only the one room, we can give individual attention to conferences at compet- itive prices. There is a large car park for those with their own transport. We are also within two hundred metres of bus routes into town and other parts of Leeds. We are within easy reach for all major attractions of Leeds and other parts of Yorkshire.
