The National Railway Museum [NRM] which was the first ‘national museum’ outside London, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. In 2001 the Museum was awarded the prestigious European Museum of the Year Award. The NRM is the largest railway museum in the world and houses many famous and record breaking locomotives including the only Bullet Train outide Japan.

Great Hall has a stunning display of the finest locomotives in the collection, and is an ideal venue for pre-dinner drinks receptions of up to 8000 guests. Station Hall offers a unique location for dining amongst carriages and locomotives set against the backdrop of the Edwardian Era. Dinners can be accommodated for up to 500 guests.
The Museum’s dedicated conference centre provides modern and versatile meeting space for up to 120 delegates. All rooms are air conditioned, have natural daylight and full blackout facilities. All rooms come with OHP, screen and flipchart as standard.
The Giobb Theatre has fixed, tiered seating for up to 78 delegates and is installed with the latest equipmetn including PA system, surround sound, LCD projector, video, CD, DVD, OHP and screen.
The Museum was awarded the Yorkshire Tourist Board White Rose award for Unusual Conference Venue of the Year 2001.
