Morris conferencing was invited to a two days #networking #event that was successfully put together by the #Accor Global and National sales team. Day 1 was a networking evening event held at Mercure Heathrow hotel. In attendance were various venue finders, 4star and 5star international hotel representatives such as Pullman Hotel Barcelona, Novotel Amsterdam, Novotel UK and so on.
During the networking evening, I had the opportunity to chat with various hotel and venue representatives and amongst them are; The Pullman Barcelona sales representative, I learnt about the 5 star hotel situated in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain. The hotel has 241 comfortable bedrooms and leisure services such as spa, 2pool, gym facilities and meeting rooms with 800 capacities which is perfect for a residential conference of about 200 delegates. The seaside view hotel has a roof top event space which can be used for networking events, gala dinner, weddings and lots more. Barcelona is a city rich in architectural and art design, having a conference or meeting in this location would allow you see the best of it in style and luxury.
Furthermore, I had a quick chat with the conference and meetings sales representative of Mercure Heathrow, where the event took place. From what I learnt I believe the location is suitable for a 150 – 200 conference or meeting. Easy to access from the Heathrow London airport with buses that shuttle from the airport to the hotel within 15 – 30 minute interval. The hotel has 184 bedrooms and 5 versatile meeting rooms with the capacity of 200 delegate theatre style. For delegates intending to travel in and out of London and want a quick access to the airport and into London central, Mercure Heathrow is an ideal choice.
It was a night to remember as the atmosphere was very pleasant for networking, food and drinks served by the ever smiling catering staff of Mercure Heathrow was very inviting and delicious.
All the necessary attributes of a successful networking event were in place; International guests, pleasant atmosphere, delicious food and desert, tasty drinks, smiley staff, card raffle draw, and a warm bed to lay our heads on. All was well.. It was indeed a night of business and pleasure as we all retired to our beautifully made rooms in preparation for day 2.
At 10am on day2, we all assembled at the hotel lobby, everyone was looking very elegant with hat accessories of different colour, size and shapes. It was another opportunity to network as we waited for the taxi to convey us to the Royal Ascot race. On arrival at the Royal Ascot we went in through the grandstand entrance to the silk lawn by Accor. Members of staff from the various Accor group of hotel were already on site. In a nutshell it was an experience to remember.
