The total refurbishment of the hotel completed in Spring 1993 has resulted in a range of facilities and decor of the highest standards. Each of the 109 bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, remote control colour television with free in-room movie, satellite channels, radio, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, hairdryer and 24-hour room service. The Starlets restaurant with its relaxed ambience offers a varied choice of continental and English cuisine. The range of conference and banqueting facilities available has been designed to satisfy the demands made by a wide variety of events. The Beaumont Room is ideal for training courses comfortably accommodating 20 delegates, whilst the Wade Room can accommodate larger meetings and small conferences of up to 80 people. The Waterton Boardroom with its elegant decor is ideal for high level meetings. In addition two purpose built syndicate rooms can accommodate up to six people. All suites have natural daylight and are fully air- conditioned. The hotel can also provide on request a range of business services including photocopying, facsimile and secretarial services. There are a host of local attractions on the doorstep of the hotel, The Dales, James Herriot country, the Pennines and Castle Howard. Further afield is the historic city of York while in Leeds itself there is the City Varieties theatre and the refurbished Victorian shopping arcades.
